Do you think I can go from Wooden Spoons to Silver now that I have the Crossman??

If the gun feel's right in your hand it will improve your scores.
You already mentioned your scores have improved now its just a case of practice, practice, practice and I am sure you'll get there
Jan, do you fire it single or double action?

Thanks for running the competition - I can't believe I came 4th in the SSP class! I suppose the good thing about being self-employed is I can practice every day. Snooper601's 170 with a HW45 is amazing, I could never shoot mine accurately. Might have to enter the HW70 for next month's one, though.
I really want a Baikal IZH46M now, but I'm not allowed one yet because I've just got a corn snake![]()

Good Choice Jim. I did a review a while ago on here (http://www.airgunbbs.com/forums/arch.../t-184417.html) and I've since had a lot of use out of it. Overall, the HW70 is a brilliant, fun & easy to use gun. Using a 2-handed hold, I can get half-inch groups at 6 yards very easily indeed. However, I find shooting it one-handed very hard and I struggle to make 1.5" at the same distance. The problem is the narrow, light, hollow, plasticky grip. I've since filled it with blue-tack and pellets and although it feels better, my group sizes haven't changed.
Get it though, you won't be dissapointed![]()
How do you find the WEIGHT of it, Jon? One-handed, that is?
My Beeman at about 28 ounces is too light for me for a one-handed hold. My wife's Crosman .357 at about 32 ounces is better, but still a bit too light. My Umarex Smith at about 44 ounces is too heavy for me for a one hand hold.
I was thinking that the HW 70 at about 38 ounces might be close to ideal.

Ah, I should haveread your review before posting. You indicated that it felt a bit light. But was that with a one or two hand hold?

Good site, Tony, thanks.
That sounds right: a kilogram = approximately 2.2 pounds.
Like most Americans, I'm not metric.
