Hi all,
Received a Webley Mark 3 today and I was wondering if there was any way of dating it?
Really chuffed with it BTW.
Cheers
Ben

The Mk3 can be one of six or so variations. Just look for the serial number on the cocking lever and there are few people on here who could date it for you once you have posted the number.
Here are some pretty poor pics. If any specific areas are needed, I can get those done.

Thats a relief - until I read the thread I thought you wanted to go out with one!

Anyone know?
The A series started in 1966 and I would think that A1899 was an early one, probably 1966/67. Another reason for thinking this is an early 6th series is that your gun has the early model of plastic medallion in the stock. Supposed to have changed to the later plain "WEBLEY" from 1966 on so perhaps your stock is a changeover?
