Well done to everyone who had a go and well done to John Munns who came 1st in the springer comp on the day, so he has won a bottle of whisky!
An excellent turnout a total of 50 people with a few new members too!
Sunday the 21st Feb is our monthly open comp, looking forward to that one!
Once again, thanks to all that helped out on the day!

Yes, congratulations to John for a well-deserved first place.
I was rather pleased with my 48, as the HW97 being used was a German market special edition job producing 5.5 ft.lbs. in .177 - just goes to show that full power isn't essential for HFT (but please don't tell the government).

I got my 44 using .22 calibre. Just out of interest was anybody else using .22?
I need to practice more to have more lucky shots.

Would that be the same article that declared a "stuffing" by claiming the first four places despite the fact that our Ryan had the second highest score!?
Or possibly the same article that slipped in a picture taken from an advertisement in said magazine when there were plenty of photos available of our actual club and members?

Nope....me mind's gone blank....[/SIZE]
I sorry sir I couldn't possibly comment on that at the given time...ahem....
Hay,what a day
Good on you John, well done, top score on the day
Me,well hanging around, need to think what one is doing, need to raise one's game,or just tune the prosport,so it gose where it should,or is it me ???
Looking forward to next shoot (Open)
Well, Les, you could try lowering the power - it's surprising how little recoil you get with a heavy springer at under 6 ft.lbs. Also, the trajectory favours all those pesky reduced close-range targets.
On the other hand, there's a kind of philosophical point involved. It's supposed to be harder to achieve a good score with a springer owing to the need to manage the recoil. Once we start removing the recoil by tuning/detuning, perhaps the spirit of the comp will be eroded.

Good shoot on sunday, but cold, looking forward to the next one but think I will invest in a nice hand-warmer like Uncle Alberts, just the job!
Indiana cajones requested that mrs tony had her own bbs account so here you are! ( Grub-Lady, correct but not so sure about the sexy bit!)

There will be no stopping him now

Wondered where it had got to!
Had a clear out at AGC on Friday (nothing to do with any fiery club condiments) and am now the proud possessor of an elephant gun for HFT. Also, "her indoors" is happy, as the arsenal has been reduced by 5 items with more to follow
