Please may I start by saying that we are extremely sorry that someone has suffered loss due to the apparent failure of one of our products.
We always try and resolve any issues as swiftly as possible, and strive to see our customers completetly satisfied.
During my telephone conversation with MrGreengrass on Tuesday 29 Nov, I did ask what action he would like us to take. The subject of a replacement stock was briefly discussed, but as it was a second hand unit and no price was forthcoming we were unable to come to a conclusion. As no pictures were available at the time for us to view, we asked that the stock be forwarded to us so that we could inspect it. We were informed that it was no longer available, but that pictures would be sent.
To date we have not received any pictures, neither have we received any follow up calls requesting any further action, so have been unable to offer any.
The pictures posted on this thread are the first that we have seen, so please do not jump to the conclusion that we are indifferent to the situation.

Responding to requests from customers, BEST Fittings produced a small quantity of 1/4"BSP valves towards the end of 2009.
They were hydraulically tested to 400BAR at design stage without any failures.
However, on installation into a gun, it was possible to create a crack in the fitting beneath the head if overtightened. This was discovered when a customer sheared the head clean off when installing one. He admitted that he had been a little heavy handed, but it was in fact for the good as we were alerted to a potential problem.
On further testing, the design was revised and a different fitting used as a valve carrier.
All of the early type valves that were traceable were recalled and replaced as far as we were able to tell.
Please have another look at the picture if concerned about one that you may have purchased from us. If you return it to us, we will happily replace it free of charge for one of the revised design.
If there is anything more that we could have done, we would have done it.

that is frightning mate , it could off been much worse but i think a new stock is the least they can do
