Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! !!! <sobs uncontrollably>.
Having just bought another, I'm reluctantly parting with this example of what is a rare and classic break barrel air rifle. Made after 1934, as cylinder stamped "W W Greener Maker Birmingham". Earlier versions had different stamping. No serial number visible on breech and no mention of calibre either. Calibre is .177, which is less common than .22 for this rifle. Cam lock works perfectly and breech is tight. Back and foresights work and dovetails are unworn. One novel feature of the backsight is you don't have to tap it within its dovetails to adjust for windage as this posh unit has securing screws that need to be loosened and then the sight can be adjusted within its dovetails by no more than finger pressure. Worn original patina overall and thankfully no signs of refinishing. Mainspring could do with renewing. All parts present and a pleasant rifle to shoot. Accuracy is very good. For example, during an informal bell target competition at 6 yards, this rifle hit 5 out of 5 bells at her first attempt, taking first place. £395 posted

Here's my old .22 to tide you over
Strangely enough, I was thinking about this old Greener just the other day. I replaced it with a .22 in better cosmetic condition but I'm sure the .177 was a better performer on the range.
Looks like you have a nice addition Peter.
