After taking the scopes off my old match rifles and re-fitting the diopter sights I shot these scores:
FWB 300 164 ex 200
Walther LGR 179 ex 200
This is the first bit of paper-punching that I have done with these rifles, so am looking forward to seeing how things improve with a bit of practice.

You can also use the official AR 10m target. Its a tad larger and has different counting.
Smallbore is ónly a 10 if the whole white dot is gone.
Or why not use the carbine 12m target? It looks a bit like a bell target (bull size).
I wonder wether those oldies are well suited for the official targets..

ATB,

We just shoot the NSRA targets at my local club.. Do fancy trying one of the sliding 10m paper targets which just presents one target in the middle, wondering if it could reduce sighting errors.
If the club is open before the end of the month I may now be able to add a score for the SSP group

Hi everyone, i have been watching this thread with interest as i have a Fwb 300s and the 10m space needed at home, i currently use the 300s for bell target at 7 yards and i wasn't overly keen to start adjusting the sights back and forth between 7 yards and 10m as i thought i would surely have to but it seems that using rws hobby's for 10m gives me the same aim point as using Air Arms diabolo express for bell target at 7 yards, is this the norm as i thought the pellets would strike high at 10m with the rifle set for 7 yards, anyway, i will shoot four cards and post my score on this thread before the end of the year...Thanks...Lewis...
I managed to get hold of an 'Original 66' at the club tonight (literally wiped the green mold off it). I believe it is a springer? anyway if it's not too late I shot the following.
Original 66, Geco's score 125.
I found the sights slightly easier on this gun and actually got a good group before I shot the round(went to pot during it mind).
Just amended score, looked at my cards this morning - turns out my witness/scorer made an error and I scored 125 not 127 as previously stated. Sorry.

Hi everyone, further to my earlier reply i have shot 4 cards tonight and came up with 160 using my Fwb300s and Rws Hobby's, i was quite happy with this score for a first try at 10m, normal clothes, no gimp jacket or anything...Thanks...Lewis...
It is a springer, using the "Giss" double piston system to achieve recoilless operation - state of the art competition rifle in its time and quite capable of good scores in the right hands even now.

Thanks for the info Mike. I didn't know anything about it, I was told it was a 'Springer' and assumed therefore it recoiled (and would therefore be in the recoiling category). I liked shooting it, though I am really not used to such sensitive triggers (first pellet in the wall). I was told it had been recently serviced, though the mold seems to contradict that, but a lovely gun non the less. Cheers, Roger.
