Is there someone with a complete 335 willing to measure up and post here or PM me with the dimensions? That would be most helpful.
Last evening I received an email from the Anschutz repair department with the accompanying information ;
"The mod. 335 with the serial nr. was built in 1970."
"The sight was built i think from camo. And seperatly buyed from them."
What or who is camo? Any ideas, perhaps a misprint?
I have come to the conclusion that the odds on finding an original front sight for the 335 are slightly longer than winning Lotto.
With that in mind I need something else that will suit. Any suggestions??
The local Antique Arms Association is having its annual show this coming Sunday and I am hopeful that I may find a suitable unit for the Anschutz there.
Cheers.

My stuff up; thanks for the correction Yes 335,Sorry. Can't help with measurments. You mean 335 right? Not 355?

Perhaps they mean the sight was made by, and bought from, Gamo?
Although if I had to hazard a guess, I'd say the 335 sight looks more like one off a Norica.
I am having the dovetail defects welded.
When the completed rifle is blued, am not wanting the repairs to show up like the proverbial dogs .
Does anyone know the metal composition of the Anschutz receiver/air cylinder so the nearest correct wire can be used?
I have sent Anschutz an email but at this point there hasn't been a response from them.

What measurement do you require?
An HW foresight can usually be adapted to a dovetail, either by machining it to make it wider or by shimming it with brass L section strip to narrow it in. The rear-sight on an Anschutz 335 is a lovely piece of work.
Probably not so useful for your predicament, but my Mk1 335 has a Williams style rearsight, with a target foresight containing a post. I could take measurements, but do not have it to hand tonight. Could possibly do it tomorrow?
Nice one tricky that should be ok.
The 335 S has a solid breach block with no provision for the rear sight if that helps Mr slow to determine model.
Real lovely, i have to agree and substantial too. Mine has the slide for elevation adjustment.
That will be OK Trick. I am waiting on the weld job so there is no real urgency on that.
Cheers
Yes, thanks Mick. I have seen a couple of images of that variant on the Net
It has been a while
The dovetails have been laser welded. I am well pleased and impressed with the work.
Here are images in the before

Now, after attention with a wetstone and some filing of the dovetail grooves.

With just the smallest of imperfections showing they're a 100 miles from the condition it arrived in.
You have got to love that micro welding; bugger all heat, no damage to the bore and a lot less rework.
