That's nice.
I have a 26 but it is hard to cock.
We have played about with springs but I still have to use the floor to do it!
Been adding Haenel Repeaters to my collections but a nice straight Haenel 28 has eluded me. Finally picked one up with a box. Seller said as new, well I'm not going to fault him, it has a few handling marks but not a speck of rust. Bluing is 99%, beyond my expections. Shoots hard but haven't chronyed it yet. It's a 22 so not expecting too much. Completes my Haenel desires, I guess I could look for a "Super" but it's really the same gun and vary rare. Here are pics:

A beautiful example. They don't come much better than that.
What a find in .22 as well, l have yet to find one in .22. having had 6 in .177. pity about the box being in not as good a condition as the pistol.
Yes box is kind of ruff, but its really the first one I've even seen offered with a box over here since I've been looking. But it protected the gun pretty well. I never really thought about the 22 being rarer, only that it would shoot slower. 22s may be more common over here in US, given it was a popular caliber here. It would been fun to know the production totals of each but that will never happen.
Hi,
Nice dark wood grips against deeply blued steel serves to emphasise the build quality of pre-war engineering at its finest.

European walnut can vary a lot. Maybe their staining it? Two different Haenels.

That is a very simple and elegant design, I really like it.
WANTED: Next weeks winning lottery numbers :-)
Everyone complains about cocking these pistols. If you follow the instructions on the box below it's really not that bad at all. Index finger in trigger hole, fingers along grip, other hand holds barrel, put pistol against body, and pull.

This one still needs the floor.
Or a stronger owner.
Got the Chrony out and I was surprised I was getting very high 200s and even a 300 fps with 22 RWS Hobbys. Seems to be stronger than my Repeaters. But it really is like brand new.
Gosh, you don't see many like that. That is a beauty and quite a catch.
