Its a fine example in lovely condition.
Hi all,
Below are some pics of an Original Mod.50 that was purchased brand new in the early 1970's by a true friend and fellow club mate, Al Parker.
I know this gun very well having spent many a pleasant day at the club with Al, it is joy to shoot. I have worked on it a few of times over the years for Al, replaced the seals etc, just careful maintenance, it is just as nice inside as it is outside.

The fine condition is indicative of the care afforded it over the last 45 or so years by Al.
Al passed away this week.
Goodbye my friend.

Nice post and tribute to your friend.
A good tribute, I also have an earlier Original 50B owned by a friend of mine, Jim Bennett who passed away 6 years ago. He'd owned it since new in 1962.
Thanks guys.
Thanks, I'm rubbish with words so I hope this comes out right when I say that, yes, I am very proud to look after Al's lovely old Mod.50, I can take it along to the club for him no problem at all, but, right now...it is cold comfort to me that it is in my charge.

Lovely tribute to your friend. I have a 1970 one in .177 and a 1971 in .22 so can empathise to an extent.
