I don't know why I've come over all germanic this morning.
Anyways, it's a lovely day here with only a gentle breeze. The bucket's never going to be easier.

Just trying to picture how The Hollow will be looking this fine morning.
A field of peace and tranquility, I guess, with many deep in slumber following a long, relaxing evening with good friends?
Mick, forever the grafter, probably going round repainting the targets that received a battering yesterday?
And did Dave's erection stay up?

It's another lovely, fine morning again here at The Hollow. I had my earliest ever night last night, retiring at 23:00 but I could still hear the crackle of the fire and people talking and laughing in the distance into the early hours. Only downside is my car is covered in dew as Dave insisted I remove my car from his tent yesterday

I have just got back from and excellent days shooting at the springer bash. Thnaks to everyone who was there - it was a great day as always and lots of lead was shot and lots of targets.
I took a couple of Reflx targets for folks to have a crack at and a couple of very entertaining spinners .
Worse part of the day fr me was my Tony Leach 22mm TX slowly tightening up! I put about 600 pellets through it during hte course of the day, and as the day wore on the gun got less and less accurate and then started to feel tighter and thighter. Eventually returning the under lever after the cocking stroke became difficult as it was obvious the piston was tight in the cylinder. All hands on deck, the gun was stripped and numerous people had a look and feel at the fit of the piston in the cyilinder. It was barely moeable by hand and tightening all the time.
Mick kndly took the piston and spun it on his lathe with a little emery to bring the fit back down to a state where ti actually fit back in the cyclinder. A relube and all was well again - we will see how long for
Sorry to hear this, Neil.
Tolerances? Material? Extra temperatures with the small volume having to be worked harder and a huge number of shots?
Hope it's okay now.
