Much as expected, surely ?

Velocity vs barrel length in a custom Crosman Ratcatcher type carbine, barrels varying from 7.5" to 24".
Any thoughts from the technically-minded?
Much as expected, surely ?
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
i put a rabbitstopper 24inch barrel on my xt2250 kingratcatcher AS. i got the barrel off steve darrell at Sdcustoms and it took the power up from what the 14 inch barrel put out . i did no mods to the valve ,left it standard.
8ftlbs with the 14 inch barrel if remember right and the rabbit stopper did 11 ftlbs or so .
i dare say i would have got more power if i did do valve mods on it .
i used to use the rifle for close range rabbits out to 25 yards on the farm.
i ended up selling it with the 14 inch and 24 inch barrels to fund my gun cabinet . sold it for £100 on here .
just had to watch the thin barrel as it would bend easy i would think. a shroud would maybe have been a good idea.

Yep, interestung stuff, but totally as expected re barrel length / output when we're talking pneumatic and CO2.
I like the underdog status that the Crosmans seem to enjoy over here and those accuracy results also come as no surprise, owning a couple of 2240s and 1377s (pistol and mini-carbine version of each).
I often look in on the blog; some interesting stuff on there, and this is a good read.
Loving the new user name, Jon. Your choice or a naughty mod?
