Mine (.177) likes Superdomes. I'll be shooting it tomorrow and have some Superfields to try as well, I'll let you know how they go.
I would use a tight fitting pellet as its a short stroke gun you will mostly find it got a strong mainspring, i found if you use say JSB pellets the power drops.

As well as SD might be worth trying short pellets like FTT 4.52, Superfields

It was a bit blustery today but the RWS Superfields shot quite nicely.
Superfields don't have a ribbed skirt. They look nicely made and seem very uniform, but whether they are any better than Superdomes is hard to tell, especially in a springer.
I used RWS Superdomes in my one and found they were the best choice...

In .177 I use RWS Superdomes in all the 1980s barrels. Just seems to work. Never feel that they are doing their own thing, just holding the group there.
I tried Superfields and not bad, but didn't add anything, and if anything when something was off then even more so.
To better the results would mean trying everything, and even then might not better the Superdomes. Rare to find anything from that period that doesn't shot them very well. In .177, 12ft/lbs rifles, they deliver.
Modern barrels then sure something else.
Interestingly I wouldn't be as confident in .22 Superdomes, but then I don't shoot .22 often.
I once had a Omega .22 that only seemed to shoot RWS Pointed well! Who would have thought? I usually stay well clear of anything pointed as dome designs work best.
Pretty much my findings. I had bought the Superfields to try out in my Daystate Huntsman in the search for a cheaper pellet, but they didn't shoot particularly well and I am just using them up.
The Huntsman is incredibly pellet fussy and I just don't know why? JSB Exact or nothing it seems, to the extent that I am seriously thinking about converting and old Webley Vulcan .177 barrel to fit the Huntsman.
I'd find a Annie 335 barrel. Might fit.
I can't remember when Webley stopped making their own barrels, but they sure got the most out of some very old equipment. Theoben gave up with those barrels and went German for good reason.
Thanks for the input guys..superdomes it is then. Mach 1.5
