Just got home, and wow! First bash for four years, and a real cracker!
It’s a shame a few more regulars weren’t there, but all the more to look forward to next year.

Thanks Neil, Tina and everyone else who was there

There has been left behind a green sleepmat (Tinbum?), a tent peg (Bullet243) and tin of .22 pellets with the label almost indecipherable.

The pellets could get used in due course.
Bullet243 may be short of pegs when he next puts his gazebo up.

The sleepmat was mine, and if they were .20 pellets then they are the ones Craig9mm gave me that I put with the mat so I wouldn’t forget them.

Put them to good use if you can, if not I’ll get them next year

Those pellets could be mine. It’s the same tin I’ve been using since my first Bash at Micks in 2015

I’m fine thanks John. It’s been tough reading all the ‘great time we had….. “ posts above when I wasn’t there this time. I always look forward to meeting up with faces old and new and I was particularly looking forward to catching up with you and hearing about your new life way up there. I have to resign myself to believing I made the right decision and just wait until the next one now.
Fortunately, I will see five or six regular Bash goers before the next Bash which will keep me ‘topped up’
It’s great that you made the long journey down for this one. Ain’t they all got old looking .

    Don't worry Paul
There is a chalk man with your name on it waiting for the next Bash
I have even made sure I have 10 spare pellets to see you through the weekend

That’ll be June time all being well and Neil being kind/mad enough to continue accommodating us all. It’s been five years now living in The Forest and I don’t regret a second of it

Cheers Pete. I bought 2x100 sticks of chalk a couple of weeks ago and drilled out a length of wood to put them in for targets. I bought the cheapest ones as most of them are ‘dust free’ these days for elf n safety but even the cheapies don’t produce much dust at all when you shoot them

No.....THANK YOY once again, Neil and Tina.

Just goes to show all the hard work that goes into the planning, organising and running of our wonderful Bash events from choosing dates that suit you and the landowner around crops and livestock requirements, choosing the exact field and layout, preparing targets, collecting the monies in, organising insurance, organising portaloos, servicing the gazebos, taking time off work before and after at a financial cost to yourself, organising the fish & chips and food runs, making sure the weekend runs smoothly, continually re-servicing the targets and then clearing everything away for hours and days afterwards. And there'll be so much more going on behind the scenes.

A true Herculean effort. Thank you so much for picking up where Mick and Shirl left off and for delivering such superbly organised and enjoyable events that mean so much to us all.

And those chalk men are truly AWESOME, Pauly.

Hey LittlePaulyBoy! Great to hear you're doing okay, little bruv.

Mate, you were most certainly missed. But you did the right thing. After years of pain, the expense of the op and the recuperation time and regime involved, it would have been far too risky taking the gamble.

I know it's a long and agonising wait until the next one, but at least we get to see a fully recovered and bouncing-fit Pauly.

Having a "mini" get together with those Bash peeps will certainly help keep spirits high; nice one.
