Would love a case like that for my long tom I wander if there are any cabinet makers on this forum?
A good friend of mine repaired this box and even made the leather handle. It was in a terrible state when I received it, but now takes pride of place.

Very nice Peter.
Currently looking for Baikal Makarov pistols with the following prefixes to the serial number: 98, T01,
Prefer boxed or cased but will consider loose examples too.
Very very nice. Thank you for sharing.

Nice one, it looks great.
That’s awesome. I am making a pistol case right now and I’m going to copy that handle.
What timber. Pine? Very nice btw
Brilliant work there Pete, well done !

I’ve only ever seen one in a box and that was on the last two occasions I attended at Melbourne, I didn’t take notice if they were the original or modern boxes and what the lid fasteners were like.
The side hook fasteners, is that how the lid was secured and not the clasp type?
Can you please let me know the internal depth please Pete.
Cheers
