I didn't have much alternative, it was them or the Airsoft BB guns as a kid as there wasn't really anyone about with Air Rifles, I only tended to see them when I went to Yarmouth, I had the BB guns but for proper power it was the Slingshot as it could blow holes in things.
I won't lie when it comes to hitting the target, it can be a little tricky so best starting larger and close, then gradually working your way out and trying smaller things, you'll never guarentee a shot through a polo but you will hit a small can some distance away.

When I was a kid I bet a quarter of the kids I went around with had or had access to an air gun. Mostly GATs
The old Milbro/Diana repeaters were popular
I was posh with my Meteor
Hope it's not too wet tomorrow morning because LVAGC here I come
    Longbow and Evo I think
Might take the BSA Standard as Mike has got some new Wasp No3s to try
    Pete
    I travel alone

I do want to get a Gat as I think it was the first gun I shot at the fairground, plan is to put it on a plinth and make out its the best gun ever to give those that know a snigger.

We had catapults from a young age. My dad had his home made one and was very good with it. From the age of about ten or eleven a friend of mine and I had our own and would take a fair few rats down the canal and around rubbish sites. I got my "posh" one, my Diablo, at age 15, at which point I had my second air rifle, my Meteor Super.

I wish I’d made the effort gone when I lived in London. It’s a bit of trek from here now for a day trip.
