One sour note for me though, I’ve left a MK II Airsporter on the left hand bench looking up the at the targets, I’m hoping some kind and honest person, though I think all the Bash attendees are honest, has picked it up and are keeping it safe for me. It is in a camouflaged carry bag.

    Thanks again Neil.

Hopefully this has been found and tucked away safely for Melv?

Sorry Melv, when we spoke on the phone earlier I got confused with which end you meant- I'd not seen one up at the left side where you'd been sitting.

Lovely to see everyone again today. The Bash will never lose its unique buzz when so many genuine like-minded people support it.

There were so many special airguns that I tried today that, if I tried to list them all, I'd miss one or two by mistake and do them a mis-service.

But here goes anyway, and in addition to the lovely toys previously mentioned.......

Craigy, wow! You did yourself proud with those stunners. That LGV in that beautiful stock with the Donny FL silencer was utterly delicious. So beautiful to look at and sublime to shoot.

The TX was a thing of beauty with its finely grained walnut stock.

The Titan pistol was a compact masterpiece. Lovely. And a bucket slayer!!

John, Blackrider's, utterly beautiful V-Mach 25mm reduced cylinder 80 an example of perfect execution. What a bloody lovely thing and of special sentimental importance.

Melv's LJ BSA with the scope mount and 4x20 BSA scope. The scope reminded me of the one that lived atop my Meteor when I was 13/14 and helped account for loads of rats and a few rabbits. And that mount is ingenious; I never knew they existed.

Waddy Paul's lovely little Ratbuster....awesome.....loved those grips. It didn't half give those tin cans a good old rattling! I'm going to struggle to try and squeeze any more rifles in, but I think I'll be having to add another Ratty to the menagerie and equip it with some grips like those. Loved it. And pistols are so much easier to sneak in undetected!

Terry's / Ronster's awesome tuned 95 in custom stock. Very, very sweet shooting and beautiful.

All beautiful and there'll have been more. Sorry if I missed any off. Getting tired and need to get some kip ready for another visit to my favourite place tomorrow.

See you in the morning, peeps.

A huge Thankyou to Neil and Tina for once again hosting a brilliant airgun shooting event affectionately known as “The Bash” !!
Had a terrific time down there once more meeting, chatting, laughing and shooting, all with great people who have in the course of time become good friends !
And huge thanks to Gary for the wonderful HW 35 .22 and to Craig for the high mounts !

    Until the next time !

    John.

And thank you for letting me try that wonderful V-Mach reduced cylinder '80, John. What a lovely and special rifle it is.

Enjoy the Diana N-Tec (you kept that one quiet!).

And safe onwards journey up and over the border, sir.

Y'know, although the numbers attending are healthy and creates a wonderful, but not too busy, ambience, one topic often discussed by us Boingerati is how many people don't attend for whatever reason.....it might be financial or family restrictions that block their attendance, maybe it's just not "their cup of tea", maybe they might (very mistakingly) assume that it's a "cliquey feel" and they wouldn't be made to feel welcome?

Whatever, we're all genuinely surprised that more people don't attend. Where else, for the measly sum of £12.50 for the day, or £25 for two or more days) can you fully immerse yourself in the world of airguns amongst friendly, genuine, like-minded people? You can do your own thing. Just find a quiet spot and shoot targets all day. Or mingle. See and try a massive variety of different airguns - rifles and pistols - of all powerplants. Some more commonplace guns. Some very rare and collectable guns. Custom specials. Ratty looking, basic cheapies.....absolutely anything you might care to imagine can be found at a typical Boinger Bash.

And the people are so genuinely warm, friendly and welcoming.

After today, that will be it for this year.

But if just a small bit of you fancies it, come along. We guarantee you'd love it and will want to visit again.

Your Diana certainly impressed me, the trigger is excellent, a good air rifle especially for the money and you become aware of that as you lift it as it feels substantial.
I can’t wait to use mine once back home. I may put a tin through it before I mount a scope so as to bed it in but yes, a great purchase !

I was absolutely shattered after getting home and cleaning the guns off last night, ( which was probably due to lumping thirty odd rolls of roofing felt up a ladder on the previous day ), so I've only just got chance to thank Neil and all of you who attended, for another tremendous day out.
Standout rifles for me were Tony's little gem of a Diana, John's beautifully engineered VMach 80, Paul's / Steve's very sentimental VMach HW99 and Terry's classic FWB127. Clearly I'm heading toward a full on break-barrel affair behind my beloved HW77's back...
Lovely, as always, to catch up with friends and the drizzle and light winds made the bucket a formality for many. Also great to have my mate Paul for company during the commute, chatting about future projects and purchases.
As Tony has said, where else can you get a full day out, trying out all kinds of air guns, amongst some of the nicest people you could ask to meet, for little over a tenner? To the people who regularly post on here asking, 'what's the best between an X and Y rifle?' 'What's the best tune for a such and such?' 'Is a Z brand of scope any good?' Pop along to the Bash and have a play with most of the kit you can get - and some you didn't know you could. Far better than a gunshop as you can actually shoot it in the real world, at a number of targets out to eighty odd yards. And take the piss out of each other...
I hope to see you all again in 2025 - all the very best, Craig.
Put on heading 270, assume attack formation

Spot on this. I'm a relative newbie to the bash (first time last year, first full weekend this year) but it really is bloody brilliant. I'm not generally a people person, don't enjoy crowds etc so had some reservations before the first one last year. I think I said it then, but I really shouldn't have worried. Banter & piss taking? Yes absolutely, but you couldn't wish for a better welcome or so many folk willing to share their pride & joy rifles.
    "If Carlsberg did shooting events..."

I reckon best bants exchange of the day has to go to Ray & Melv though- properly creased me up

Great to see you both again and to meet Paul (Mach1.5) too, who I could talk to for hours about all things Venom / V-Mach.

    See you next year!

Just to let fellow 'Bashers' know the Airsporter is safe and well and in Tony's car, I will relieve him of it asap.

Thanks once again to Neil and his helpers, whoever they are, for another friendly happy day out with good friends and fellow boingers, except for a that really ugly fat sod, don't know his name but he wears a leather trilby type hat, which I must say I really like and would love one like it, oh I do remember his name it's Ray. Only kidding mate but I really do like that hat .

See you all next year hopefully.

    Cheers
