Thanks again Neil & Tina for organising and setting up another Bash. Long wait now until next one but looking forward already.
Great to see you again Paul. On a personal note, I can't believe I came home without buying another air rifle, although I might be in touch with Dave soon... will that count?

You told me but I've forgotten but I remember you mentioned the word "Rimfire" !

I have stayed in a couple of Premier Inns for shooting weekends and never had any issues
Just don't strip TX200s on the bed sheets
A short midwinter break in sunny Doncaster is sounding good

The Longbow really is getting better the more it is shot
And yes Paul (Hellequin) the look on Paul's(Waddy) face went the bucket dropped was a picture

That was mental, a hat trick on the bucket, which Neil said should be at 30 yards to be right, not 75 or whatever it is. I need to sell both my Weihrauchs and invest in proper old British guns lol.

I've been looking at the Donny range and I think it's a phone call job, stopping over for a meal & beers seems very appealing, there are cheap hotels because of the house racing thing

That Longbow of Pete's is a cracker, although I hit the bucket (only once, mind) with my .22 version. He was pinging it consistently. I had more success with my 35e but to be honest I was just glad to find I could actually do it. That surprise from you when you first hit it was brilliant though mate.

Definitely up for a Donny 'bash' if it can be sorted. Are Premier Inn ready for an invasion of Boingers?

I hope they are, I'll have to start a thread It would be great to have a meet up over the long 8 month no bash period

Thanks Pete, looks like it has the Varmint Hunters reticule ?

Standout rifles for me were Tony's little gem of a Diana, John's beautifully engineered VMach 80, Paul's / Steve's very sentimental VMach HW99 and Terry's classic FWB127. Clearly I'm heading toward a full on break-barrel affair behind my beloved HW77's back...
Lovely, as always, to catch up with friends and the drizzle and light winds made the bucket a formality for many. Also great to have my mate Paul for company during the commute, chatting about future projects and purchases.
As Tony has said, where else can you get a full day out, trying out all kinds of air guns, amongst some of the nicest people you could ask to meet, for little over a tenner? To the people who regularly post on here asking, 'what's the best between an X and Y rifle?' 'What's the best tune for a such and such?' 'Is a Z brand of scope any good?' Pop along to the Bash and have a play with most of the kit you can get - and some you didn't know you could. Far better than a gunshop as you can actually shoot it in the real world, at a number of targets out to eighty odd yards. And take the piss out of each other...
I hope to see you all again in 2025 - all the very best, Craig.
    Absolutely, Craig; perfectly put.

As always, an absolute pleasure to see you again. And those previously mentioned guns of yours were utterly sublime Thank you for letting me have a play.

Thanks once again to Neil and his helpers, whoever they are, for another friendly happy day out with good friends and fellow boingers, except for a that really ugly fat sod, don't know his name but he wears a leather trilby type hat, which I must say I really like and would love one like it, oh I do remember his name it's Ray. Only kidding mate but I really do like that hat .

See you all next year hopefully.

    Cheers

Absolutely, Paul. So many rock-solid, long-term friendships have been forged over the years through initial acquaintances at our Bash events.

And so nice to see you again, MyLittlePauly.

We'll see if we can get that Winter meet-up at Doncaster set up to help relieve the agony of the long wait.

They may well have done, John, as it was peeing it down heavily earlier on.

However, by around 10.00am, in true Quigley Bottom fashion, the sun well and truly got his hat on and we were treated to the customary QB el-scorchio conditions.

Very rare to find such a great bunch of people, if you haven't been you have no idea what you are missing !

I now need to find & .177 Longbow, three shots out of three on the bucket yet I couldn't hit it once all weekend with any of my own rifles

It does sound like a meet up at the Doncaster range is very do-able, it's indoors so ideal for over the winter months and it's close to the motorway. I was initially thinking just a Saturday afternoon thing but maybe an all day bash with a meal & a few pints after with a stop over at Premier Inn (or somewhere similar,) might be even better esp for anyone fancying a day shooting with the Boingerati from further afield .
Cheers for the nice comments, Paul, and so nice to see you again. I do look forward to our chats.

Still can't get your Ratty out of my head with those lovely grips. A fine thing.

Any of your nicer boingery toys, perfectly zeroed and with aim point sorted can take on the role of Bucket Slayer. And I know Pete was well made up with your beaming smile upon your feat.

We'll keep that thread going too on the proposed Doncaster meet-up, gauge the level of interest and try and sort that one out.
