Doncaster Airgun Range Meet Up; Sat 18 Jan 2025

I would guess that we will have even more freedom and leeway when we go there for this meet, as we're having half of the range (nine lanes), so I guess we'll be able to have targets here, there and everywhere. There are also numerous re-settable targets there and you can also bring tin cans, empty pellet tins etc. to shoot at.

That's brilliant Tony, tin cans at full range with a 2240 is about as good as it gets. Mines getting tweeked back to its original 'merican gas guzzling muscle power for the long range "WHACK"

I find hanging a can from a steel pike fishing tracer works well for pistol can bashing.

The targets Brian has sound like very good value for money too.

I'm guessing a good few people might struggle to commit so far in advance and may want Christmas out of the way before broaching the subject to partners etc. Plus, especially if travelling greater distances, might well want to get much closer to see what the January weather might have in store for us before saying "yes"?

Boyes, thats something I miss from when the Mrs was in the North, mooched the one in Stockton on occasion when she was at her class in the Arc, lots of cheap gubbins that are quite handy.

I used to pop into the Barnard castle one when I used to visit .....

That little Bushnell scope I snapped up the other day for £25 (with two sets of mounts ) is a 3-9 x 40, so it's going on the Airsporter. Nice clear glass & old skool reticle.

Yep, we can set some pistol targets out at shorter and longer ranges, Paul. Should be great fun. I wonder if it might be worth taking along and tying some tin cans / empty pellet tins etc on string so we can hang them off various holders etc.? There are already a good few knockdowns etc there.

Re the scopes....at least they're Wulf ones and not super-expensive ones.

I also spotted a brace of Umarex CO2 pistols for sale in the cabinet the other day.
