    Drulov DU-10

Purchased over the weekend and I’m a happy bunny 🐰 bought to improve skills so I wanted to see if I’m missing a trick with the pellets. It’s been on a diet of Excite wadcutters but I wonder if there’s anything else I should be trying? I have yet to try some matchkugeln.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Great pistols. Which version do you have? I have one of the early models bought as a non-runner, that I stripped and fettled. Do the Excites work ok in yours? I found them not too bad but didn’t always cycle reliably, and Geco flatheads a bit better. QYS flatheads worked well. I use it for speed comps, so have not noticed any difference in accuracy. As the gas gets low the hammer doesn’t always catch, especially if it is adjusted too finely, and it can shoot two pellets at once.

It’s one that came in the earlier PU leather case, with most of its bits I feel. Distribution by Edgar Brothers. Shoots well on Excite but I feel it has put two down the barrel at least once. I’ve got a couple to try, Geco included. Don’t have QYS Wadcutters.

I’ll let you know about the matchkugeln.

Yep. Match-Kugeln work a treat. Maybe fewer shots (not scientific by any means) but groups a tiny bit sharper and no double firing through the whole CO2 bulb.

To say I’m hooked is and understatement. The cost in pellets and CO2 could break me! 🙈

That's good to know. Did you shoot until the gas dumped? Put a new end cap seal on mine a few weeks ago and checked the shot count. With the power adjustment set flush, not that it makes much difference, it shot 98 of the 7 gr Gecos. No significant drop past 80, then slowly tailed off and the last 4 dribbled out in one go as the gas went. So not bad on CO2, but yes very addictive. What weight and size Meisterkugeln are you using, I'll take a look. Although I’ve had no problem with QYS flatheads, or RWS R10, and it's just very occasionally with the Geco.

I seem to remember when I had one if I used Gamo Match pellets they are quite short and could get 6 shots per load.

I wondered about that! Some on YouTube refer to them as 6 shot others 5. That’ll be why 😀

I have on occasion inadvertently loaded 6 and found it still worked. Can’t recall the pellet, and as I only need 5 shots not something I do regularly. Interesting though and something I may look at.

Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

I bought one at auction a few weeks ago. someone had obviously had some problems with it and had loosely re-assembled it. They had bent part of the trigger mech unfortunately but I stripped it down, straightened the part and now it works as it should apart from the power adjuster which I haven't manged to move as yet.

They are a nice pistol and fun to shoot.

    Steve.

Have you loosened the little screw underneath first?

    suitable pellets

They are great pistols , if set up correctly. I used jsb exact 8.44 in mine without any problems, other round nose pellets will work too.

Nice one Pete. I currently have a myriad of pellets (ok in Greek 10,000 so slight exaggeration) but will look out for those.
