    Oh Dear Me..

Well, yesterday I treated myself to a brand new HW75 was I have been hankering to get another one for a while now. Just sighting it in this morning in the back garden and I wound the elevation adjustment the wrong way while distracted and the screw came out and the little spring disappeared into the furthest corners of nowhere.....

Chambers have them in stock so ordered one, will have to see when that arrives with all the Christmas mail about.

I did a similar thing with the rear sight on a '60's Webley rifle years ago. Can't remember what part of the sight I lost(Washer?), but luckily had something that fitted.

I lost the spring mid morning yesterday, ordered a replacement from Chambers around lunch time and it has just arrived.

    Sterling service from Chambers again.

Please add praise for the carrier who must have contributed in some way.

I have bought from Chambers and they are speedy in getting stuff out the door.

I am mate, but it has made me realise that I just cannot use iron sights any more, so I have fitted a red dot onto it.

Yes a decent red dot sight is a game changer for us men of a certain age

Got one on my HW45. Also a Vector Ratchet red/green on my .22 GX-40 air rifle - ideal for disposing of rats at shortish range.

Yes I have mate. It was stuck inside the "egg box" foam in the top of my pistol case. One place that I never looked.

At least I now have a spare if I ever do that again.

I bought a brand new HW75 just before Christmas and I have to say that I'm extremely pleased with it. I've shot 91 on a NSRA Air 4/89-18 (10M 1 Target Air Pistol) offhand.

Everything about this pistol is just about perfect.

Funily enough I lost the non return valve spring from my Alecto last night. A tiny thing barely 1.2mm OD and 3mm long, made out of near-invisible wire wool strand wire. Gave up after scouring the kitchen floor.

Found it later that evening when packing up, nestled in the egg box foam of the case !
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.
