TX came out. Checked over and a quick 20 shots down the hallway. The TX behaved impeccably. And it also brought home to me once again how much Nikko glass seems to suit me.....this one wears a 2-7x32 Airking Gold Crown and it's beautifully sharp and crisp for me. If there were still available I'd buy as many as I could. The walnut beauty then had a loving wipe down and put away. Pellets (AAFs and Exact 8.44s) ready together with the magnets. And the little session made the symptoms of the lurgy diminish lots.

I'd forgotten how nice the TX is.....a walnut HC. Mark III with TbT kit. Lovely.

    And so local too, sir!

Gents, it turns out that Dan lives about a third of a mile down the road from me!

    Small world.

Oh bugger ! Not the 100 day cough ? Lemon & honey in hot water is supposed to be the thing to battle it with.

Cheers Paul. Yep, been using the lemon and honey, lozenges and paracetamol. We'll get there. Hope it subsides before Saturday.

Errrrr......what's this?..I've just had a peep at the BBC / Met Office forecast thingy and it's now saying 5 degrees for Saturday. That's changed! Still, much, much better than last week.

Not quite sure how best to split groups etc. But everyone will be friendly and flexible, I'm sure, so everyone will get plenty of shooting time in.

One thing we won't be able to do is have guns out of their bags in the seating area - they're only to come out at the shooting station. I'm sure we'll be okay if there are two or three at a station if different people were wanting to try out a particular attendee's gun for a few shots, as long as only one gun being used per station at any one time?

It's hard to know what's best or worst, imposing rules or having someone thinking they didn't get their share of range time

Hope you are getting over the lurgy.

I had another look at the scope situation & think I'll leave the simmons on the 35, it might be Ok now I've had a fiddle with it. If not I'll have a look at what's for sale at the range. I might buy one anyway for the Sirroco.

I also noticed the temp was a bit lower than what we were told a few days ago, not sure which big coat to take. Most blokes around here would be in flip flops & shorts, I kid you not.

Yep, I know what you mean re deciding how "regimented" it should be. Personally, with numbers now around the 19 / 20 mark, we're almost at two sessions.....I think just see how it goes. Everyone's grown up, everyone will be chilled. I wouldn't be able to do loads of intensive sessions anyway with my knackered shoulders!

Yep, isn't it weird how different people feel the cold (or not!) so differently? I'm properly nesh!

Lurgy slightly, slightly easier. Should be fine by the weekend!

After seeing how much better Nikko glass seemingly suits my eyes so well, when I buy my next scope I think it'll be a Panamax. Just a shame they don't do it in my preferred 32mm objective size.

    Lightbulb Nikko Stirling

Well, with them seemingly suiting my eyes so well.......when I bought my last two Gold Crown Airkings (maybe around 2017?), I'd looked on the official Nikko site and they still showed on there, despite not being stocked anywhere. I assumed that, maybe, the site was out of date and in need of updating.

However, I had a quick look again yesterday and they're still showing. Maybe they are being made still just not being imported by the distributor? I wonder if they could be convinced to bring them in again, or what sort of minimum order number would be required to get some in?

    Smile Sleepometer says

Just two to go now, peeps.

Bloody lurgy won't shift. Could do with at least half a night's semi-settled sleep before the big day. Could really do with it sodding off now!

Anyone waiting in the wings to jump in and join us?

I wouldn't be surprised if they are still made but not imported, same situation with rifles, on which a thread has been started. Take the full length HW rifles for example, Hull Cartridge wont import them but if someone brings some over they all get snapped up.

I used Hennessy Brandy on the lurgy, large doses every evening, it soon buggers off

Paul / Hellequin texted me last night, he's changed to vodaphone and they are blocking this forum because it's "adult"

Big brother is already here, and it's set to get worse by the look of it.

Still not 100% on sure on rifles. I rodded pellets through the 35 and it very much appears to have a choke despite having a short barrel, the supersport just gets looser & looser, like a blunderbuss.

On another topic, got ice again here this morning, it was supposed to have warmed up quite a bit

Yep, will try more remedies on the lurgy!

    That sounds disgraceful re Vodafone.

35 barrels are excellent. And I have a known very accurate .22 Supersport barrel, if you were ever to need it.

If you don't have one create an online account and then when you log in, go to Manage Controls and Limits where you can make changes to your controls.

This is done other providers as the default setting.

If I put the post code (DN1 2ST) into my Google Maps sat nav will it take us to the car park or the front of the mill?
