Well a work mate who's ex amry said he could fix it,, he'd stick a new seal kit in it,,,
So I bought the seal kit and a huma reg,
Got the gun back off him and now it won't pump up on the syrup, it jist seems to pass air when, I pump,,
Could this be a case of the gun need a big rush of air from a bottle or compressor?
Or has it been bodged,, has anyone else had a totally empty r20 and been able to recharge from a foot pump?
    Cheers all,,
And apologies for being stupid,, it should have gone to a gun smiths.
You’re not stupid at all. My R10 Mk2 (also Huma’d) would do the same, ie develop an annoying but extremely slow leak. First port of call would normally be the bottle seal o-ring, but certainly not always.

Have you tried cocking the gun prior to charging with the stirrup pump? If you have no success (and assuming the gun is now correctly sealed), get an adapter from Best Fittings so you can charge the bottle directly. https://www.bestfittings.co.uk/shop/...-fill-adaptor/

If you still get a leak, it may be a different cause now and possibly because the pin that opens the buddy bottle valve in the gun is set too far forward (potentially easy to do if the gun has been taken apart to service), opening the valve and, in extreme cases, preventing the bottle seating quite properly and thus causing the bottle to slowly empty at this point.
