Sorry to hear about your back. I hope it improves for you very soon. And, yes, lovely with these days lengthening out so much.
I did get a couple of hours at the range, I took the much underused .25 Hatsan & was very impressed with it, it's very good at shorter ranges, over 25 yards the ballistic curve starts but it's still accurate.

I also took a Mk 3 Airsporter that apparently doesn't like H & N ftt's , thought I had other .22 pellets in the range bag but nope.

Hoping the washers arrive soon or I'll have to email them.

Two months to go ! I hope it warms up quite a bit.

Bugger, that sounds awful, all the best with a speedy recovery & keeping your toe.

It would great if you could manage a visit Mark, maybe we could shoot a pellet each . There are quite a few tinkering you can do with the CP2.

I’m hoping to get a call any day now to be given a date for the op. It will be any time within the next three weeks as I had my pre-op assessment last week and it needs to be within 28 days of that.

Great to hear you made it to the range and put the thumper to good use, Paul.

I hope those washers turn up soon and that you get that 100 shooting to perfection. Should be lovely.

Yep, good luck, my friend. I suppose the quicker the better for you so you can be pain free quicker and get to enjoy some Summer shooting and riding.

Got home from work to a jiffy bag from H100 .

Just got to put it back together with the new belleville washers and 354 O rings I think my AA 510 has about six

I'll bring a pair of wellies to the bash this time after the wet long grass at the last one, they might guarantee dry weather.

Cheers lads. I’ll let you know on here when I get a date. There’s Wi-Fi in the hospital but I can’t get on BBS while there due to their restrictions.

Finally made a Range visit this morning with the Mk. VI Meteor on opens.
Began at 15 yards initially and tried several pellet brands, FTT 5.53 and New Wasp, same cal.

Hard to pick between those two so I took the target out to 20 yards and the FTT's were edging it very slightly managing 50p sized groups. Eventually found a new unopened tin of FTT 5.55's which were a tads better fit and it maybe with further shooting these may win through on accuracy terms !

I reckon 20 yards may be my limit but I'll give 25 yards a go next time out !

Ultimately, a small scope will go on the gun as its much easier on my eyesight.

Sounding promising then, John. And I bet fun was had. Just a quickie - and I could be wrong here (I usually am) - are the Mark VI Meteors onwards the Gamo based ones?

Hee, hee, hee! That reminded me of that old Jasper Carrott instalment about Australia and how one of the condom brands they had was "Jiffy", bringing a different meaning to the term, "I'll be coming in a jiffy!"

If I'm remembering correctly, that is!

Take your time with the build and work steadily and methodically. I'm sure all will go well and it'll be performing as Hermann intended in very quick order. How many 'O' rings????
