Two common misconceptions with titanium is that it’s lighter than aluminium (it isn’t, not by a long way) and also that’s it’s as hard as nails and very difficult to machine. This also isn’t true. Its mechanical properties (and machinability) are very similar to a medium carbon mild steel.

yeah, is basically alu weight (ish) and steel strength... so makes sense on planes, race cars/bikes, and tanks, but not much else...
