You'd have to really want one to pay that.
The tuning advantages of the Vixen could now be recreated with a decent drop in kit and piston bearings, which shows how far we've come since its introduction.
The early Vixens had a leather sealed piston with a 65mm stroke and an estimated piston weight of over 300gms --- obviously this combination worked well at the time so I can't knock it.
I often wonder if we'd have had all the other 1980s tuning houses if the Vixen had been a flop ?
