Lovely in either calibre, John. Really. Or you could just get both.

Probably a .22 in the synth stock. Not sure of scope yet but something smallish and fixed mag I think.

That'd be nice, John, but any would do. The 30 is quite elegant so I think I'd be going for a 4x32 as opposed to something really stumpy.

    Scope

    Wulf Fireball 2-7 x 32 pa or HW 4 X 32 PA with target turrets. Expensive for a 4 X 32 but nice. Mach 1.5

Yes, I'd be happy with both of those, Paul.

I have a more basic HW 4x32 one which is nice and clear.

And the two little Wulf 2-7x32s I've looked through seem very good and impressive at their price point.

Rumours circulating elsewhere that the synthetic stock may be discontinued and replaced with the black soft touch timber job. Can anyone confirm ?
Shame if true as that’s the one I’d opt for.

Tom at hull cartridge has just confirmed for me that the synthetic has been discontinued but it’s not been replaced with a soft touch stock it’s a wooden stock with a Matt black lacquered finish to it.

After my initial excitement ( I'm easily pleased) I need to not be distracted & get on with some other fiddling about with other rifles for a month or two so scope choice & pellet testing is on hold for now. Pellets & targets being gathered up ready & waiting

Nice to concentrate your attention on just the one for the time being and getting to know it inside out and get all the intensive testing done.
