    Field layout

This is my proposed field layout.

This drawing is not to scale.
Please keep to the outside of the field to minimise damage to the grass.

If anyone has paid and not appeared on the list, please message me with the date you made the payment and I will go and find it.
Craig-P missing off the list, Neil. And I'm pretty sure that Chris, Baldinio, is coming. He has issues accessing the forum at the moment but he said a while ago that he would be joining us. I'll get a message to him and confirm.

Pretty sure that Jon, Shed Tuner, and Melv, Chippendale, are coming too.

There's the chance that OurLittlePauly might be able to join us too, if his recovery continues at pace. Fingers crossed.

Are you going to be making an appearance my friend?
I've been in touch with Gav.

Unfortunately he can't join us as the dates clash with a family holiday. He's all good, wishes everyone a great weekend and will be joining us in July.

    All the best, Gav.

Cheers for posting this, Neil. Unfortunately I can't view this on this vintage () I-Pad, but will look in later on my phone.

From the directions given on the opening post, I think it's pretty close to the field that we used for the Summer 2023 Bash, isn't it?

    Absolutely, Paul.

And I know he had some projects on the go that he was hoping would be ready in time for this Bash weekend so he could share them with us. They're always something very special and that I look forward to seeing, as well as his heartfelt laughs, great nature and awesome bucket slaying prowess.

Smile Liberation Day - First Anniversary!

    Yay!

As well as this week seeing the VE80 commemorations that mean so much to so many - I often get that lump in my throat and have to hold tears back when seeing some of the footage and hear some of the veterans' stories, this weekend holds the first anniversary for me of liberation from that poxy, faceless, plastic PLC that I used to work for.

We were having last year's May Bash on this Bank Holiday weekend. And when I got back to my car on the Sunday afternoon I looked at my phone and saw that my now-employer had rung. I rang the shop but the manager had just left for the day, so I didn't actually get to speak to him until I rang him on the Monday morning, when he offered me the position. Yay; happy days!

I wasn't able to start until 1st of June as Twatties Incorporated wanted me to work a month's notice, but at least I knew I was free of them and could look forward to my new job.

    BOING indeed.

oops, in all the excitement, I forget I hadn't actually informed Neil, as I wasn't sure until recently I'd be able to drive..!

Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

I’ve decided discretion is better than valour on this one Tone. Recovery is indeed continuing at a good pace, haven’t quite ditched the one walking stick just yet albeit I’m getting around really well most of the time, driving is fine too. The worst thing I can do is to have a fall in the early months and I’m thinking - uneven ground is probably best avoided until I am fully stable on both legs.
