    HW30 Pellet Choice, Weight?

I have a new to me .22 HW30. Normaly I would randomly go through my pellet collection to find the most accurate. This time I'm going to start with light pellets & work upwards. Range about 10yds maybe 15yds. What sort of weight should I stay under. I assume any pellet has the potential to perform well but I just have it in my head to go light with this rifle. Hobbies that I've tried were good, the only other pellets I had at the time was bizmags & they were shotgun groups so that prompted my go light holy grail quest.

We where recommended JSB pellets by the gun shop but they just didn't group in Karen's 30, TonyL suggested H&N Excite hammers and they work a treat.
Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in

The Hobby and the JSB Jumbo RS are the ones that I'd be leaning towards. I think JSB also do a sub 14 grain wadcutter too.

Thanks all for pellet suggestions etc but it's more the weight I'm interested in. Got a bit of a varied pellet collection to get through before I buy anything I havnt got. 14 was mentioned, a good starter number ??

They need to be accurate as well, the Jumbo RS's we used where all over the place.

I’ve just finished a vid with the 30, shooting out to 60 yards. I used H&N FTT to surprisingly good effect!

Ultimately I wouldn’t be surprised if you end up using those (FTT) a wide range of diameters from 5.49 to 5.55.

Not surprised about ftt's a favourite of mine & several rifles. I only want to short range plink & ratting but from all the comments about the HW30 I could easily have a try at fun long range plinking as a change from pcp's & powder.. I think my question has been answered. My tin of fitt's says 14.66gr so ill try 15gr or lower first out of my pellet collection. Thanks everyone, most helpfull.
