Melv, we Have your gun. Noticed a solitary green gunslip on the benches when I woke this morning, and sure enough, one dioptre sighted original 35...
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

    Nice one, Jon.

Not long until I'll be setting off for day two of fun in the sun (it's looking a much brighter morning than yesterday)

Rear-cocker with the rifles ready to be loaded into the car; calipers in there already.

    See you soon.

Fantastic, thanks very much John, it’s really appreciated, it’s a good job I remembered where I live or I might be driving round Nottinghamshire still. I’m putting it down to old age. Tony says he will pick it up for me then I will arrange with him to pick it up at his place of work.

It’s getting to be a habit with me, I shall have to ask everyone to remind me to check my gear before I leave in future.

Have a great time these last couple of days everybody, hope to see you in July, the 20th is my birthday, I like plenty of icing on my cakes, preferably a coffee cake. Only kidding, only kidding.

    Thanks once again.

    Cheers

    Lovely little location, Neil.

And once those clouds cleared we were treated to beautifully hot and sunny conditions.

It was lovely to see everyone again.

So, so many highlights. It would always be so easy to miss out something if trying to list them all. But thank you everyone for letting me have a go with so many of your special and cherished rifles. And for the banter, general chat, technical talk and offers of future tinkering assistance.

JB - the rear cocker is with the rifles, ready to come today.

I was also seen to be shooting some very nice, high-end HFT-spec PCPs, courtesy of Gary - those incredible shooting machines really impressed.

    NickG's wonderful toys.

    Mark's fettled AM03.

Nurek's very, very special rifle (I won't mention the name unless you do) - WOW! Simply, WOW! I feel very honoured and privileged. Thank you.

Les's sidelevers. Loved having a go. Thanks, Les. But most especially the Bora.

    Mike's cheapy little plinker......

Neil's Lightning CLX and Minerva. And I especially enjoyed having another go with the Daisy 880. Other than the slightly fiddly loading, there's nothing not to like about it, really. Gotta get one!

I was impressed at my self-restraint what with the amount of very tempting rifles on sale yesterday. Especially that lovely little Slavia 620 on Mike's stall.

A big thank you to our wonderful hosts Neil and Tina for once again making this happen and making it run so efficiently.

See you again in a few hours.

    BOING!
I'll mention THAT rifle Tony, the absolute beauty and engineering marvel that is Nurek's Whiscombe (or Wishcombe as Baldino called it ) which was a privilege to put some shots through- thank you Nurek.

Big thanks as always to Neil & Tina for a great bash. I had to head home yesterday rather than staying until today but had a cracking evening at the pub & round the fire Friday and some good shooting yesterday.

And yes, lots of tempting rifles (including some lovelies that Daz brought) but I really need to shift a couple to make space in the rack before I buy more.

Hope everyone has another great day today & I'll see you all in September.

Oh and I'm glad the 35 was found & is safe- which one are you going to leave at the next bash Melv? 🫣 🤣

Great to see all you lads again yesterday - and to get a few rounds downrange after not shooting since the last Bash
Privileged to enjoy some time with far too many special rifles to mention - but it's all about the company at the end of the day.
Huge thanks to Neil and Tina for making it all possible and I'm already looking forward to the next one.
Keep well all and I'll see you soon.

What a great weekend. Thanks to our hosts Neil and Tina for all the work that goes into these events, and especially for the fish & chips and curry evenings
Great to meet up with the lads again, to sample some unique rifles, and to chat about guns and pretty much everything else. As a bonus, what wonderful weather we had for us all to enjoy the beautiful countryside (and hedges !)
Always looking for any cheap, interesting, knackered "project" guns. Thanks, JB.

This morning the good lady said to me I would like to go for a drive somewhere today, why not I said let’s do that. It was nice to see Tony, Waddy, sorry Waddy forgot your name how strange you say and Andrew before they left for home.
Well it was a drive as she wanted, and of course picked up the 35, thanks again for picking it up John.

Well, that was perfect, thank you very much Neil & Tina. What a brilliant weekend, so many incredible rifles One that's not been mentioned is Alistair's vintage Steam Punk BSA. Such a nice rich patina to the woodwork & well treated metal work, with that leather cheek comb & scope....I want one

Really great to see everyone again & the beers around the firepit just puts the cherry on the cake. Obviously anything that either happens there or is said there can't be talked about on an open forum Mike

Well I was having a lovely time at the bash untill it all went pear shaped, I'm not mentioning any names, but there was a man sun bathing in his underpants and another man with deformed feet with no socks on, I knew it was time to leave, thank you to everyone involved for putting on a fantastic bash, but I really do think we need a dress code in future, love you all Daz
