One of my pet hates is the stock not covering the breech block, the R1 stock and the HW85 deluxe stock I like very much as they have the classic lines, the modern HW stocks are too angular.

Far too many rifles to list now, all mainly British but the odd pesky foreigner has snuck in
Must agree Pete, I think the older cut off stocks showing the breech just look really old fashioned although the latest HW80 stock hasn’t quite grown on me yet either.

That R1 type stock would be my preference as well.

The latest 80 stock is a strange looker, but it doesn't handle badly, for a heavy rifle.
Maybe a fashion statement back in the 80s..Weihrauch weren't the only ones not covering the breech block.
BSA, BSF, Original, Feinwerkbau, Webley etc. Mach 1.5
Mine is a plain 80, heavy but I like it. Not the looks so much.
Delete that one of me list..must have been a German thing then. Mach 1.5
I made my own R1, look nice but cheek piece best for open sights
