I didn’t come home with anything this time but that doesn’t bother me, I view the day out much like I would a trip to a museum although admittedly something normally gets the better of me. There’s not so much on my want list these days I guess. I did um and ah over a Webley Victor, it was nice and a very fair price but missing its sights so I decided against it. There was also a nice ASI Sniper at a great price which I would have jumped at but Chris H kindly sent me one recently. As always my gaze lingers on the Webley Mk2 Service’s, I never have plucked up the courage to spent those amounts of money on a single purchase, it’s one rifle that never seems to appear as a project or as a really rough example 🤷♂️
No guns for me either but like you, that does not detract from the overall experience. I often liken walking around Kempton to visiting a museum and being allowed to handle the exhibits (with consent) and possible having the opportunity to buy them.
A Service is definitely worth having. If I had to pick, it would possibly be my choice for my favourite air rifle of any generation.
Kind regards,
John
