a tin can at 100yds is easy but the 1inch at 140 less believable.
I doubt that Kenny, you can read as a guest.
He's probably visiting his "Consultant neurologist" daughter, staying on his "Massive farm" or offering "expert advice" to some other poor saps based on his attention seeking scans.
The trouble is Kenny, if you're going to be a con man you have top be a good one. Keep the claims believable, even if they are hard to believe. As soon as you tell one patent lie the whole house of cards comes down. I had him down as a braggart and a liar but held my tongue until he went OTT.
so who is coming and for how long?

May need to try this out myself. Kinda of interested in what a lowly airgun can do stretched out there. Hard to call someone out without experience to support the argument.
BTW thanks for letting me in
Walter from Canada eh!
well i guess we will see what a one time event will prove gary!
but rememebr this is a first time for mainy, with practice comes perfection so i think you'll struggle to write it off!
and if its a sham and a babbling story from a ozzy who has seen to much sun then why are you bothering this demonstration at all! seems to me that you will now go to any length to disprove his claims, my my seems we have found what gets under your skin apart from nippy jocks gaz![]()
kenny
p.s. i hope to make it down though gary should abe a good event mate!
p.p.s i'll send you the results of what our boys get at the weekend, give you english boys a mark to try for![]()
Good move, Gary / Baz.
Wishing you a reasonable weekend (weather-wise) guys. I'll look forward to the results with interest. Here's hoping you prove that:
Competent shooters sub 12 ft/lb are capable of tight grouping out to 50 yds.
Competent FAC shooters out to 60/70 likewise.
Most of all .. that 100+ yd groupings are fluke or b*llsh*t.
I, for obvious reasons, was annoyed to see HF given coverage in a leading mag. It doesn't send the right message. All praise to the mods on here for the ban.
I know you'll impress on the newbies how experienced you are when you get those groupsCos' you will, wind permitting.
Beating my own drum, too? .. www.wildanglia.co.uk .. check out photos and book?
The shooting foxes bit was the thing that disappointed me about Harry's posts ... I have to say the rest sounded reasonable but I'm no expert on range. I think I might have been wrong.

Disregarding the foxes comment, I cannot do the groups that Harry can do, but I have personally seen people achieving those sort of groups with much higher foot per pounds that he was talking about knocking over silhoutte rabbit plates shot after shot.
Gary, if you want to see it yourself, call Alfred De Vries, he can do them at 200m with a 150 foot per pound rifle.Knowing him, he probably has video clips of him doing it, drop him an email or ring him.You are welcomed to Pm me for his direct number.
150ft/lbs is a tad different from 27ft/lb.
Hardly JSB exacts either mate.
Apples / Oranges![]()
but he was not talking about 200 meters, I have seen someone do it with a fx but not sure what the power is on that at 100meters.Any ideas?
Kenny
A gibbering braggart doesn't get under my skin. I'm saddened that sensible people can be gulled. This weekend is primarily a get together for a bit of a laugh, a liar will always find an excuse to justify his case.
There was less wind when he shoots, better BC, prepared pellets, tuned rifle.
The simple fact Kenny, to any sane sentient being that's shot an FAC rifle, or indeed ever shot a rifle, is that the guy is a liar and a braggart. Anybody with an IQ greater than a cabbage can see that anybody who needs to name drop on his kids achievements in an unrelated sentence has a few problems.
Finally mate - the proof is in the maths. Do them on wind effects on a 27ft/lb 16 grain pellet at 150 yards and see if you can even feel the difference it needs to screw it up.
Nope. Nothing to prove here or disprove. Just a bit of craic and a chance to have a play with some rifles
did a search, it was a fx 34 ft/lbs rifle
Look mate, he was talking about 150 yards grouping 1.5". Stop carping on. If you think you, or anybody else can do it, then I'll bet you a grand - £1000 - that you can't.
So, come over, bring Alfred with a 27ft/lb rifle, and go for it. Otherwise mate, I think you're just blowing smoke. NONE of our top shooters think they can do it and we have the best outdoor airgun shooters in the world.
Harry Potter went to Hogworts and could do the impossible, not Harry Fuller mate.
