I tried some wonderful rifles yesterday but the BSA Meteor made my day yesterday as it was the first gun my dad brought me when I was 10..brought back some happy memories.

    Again; very nicely put, Paul.

I was talking with Alastair (Clogger) yesterday about you maybe wanting to track down a Meteor to help you re-live those childhood memories. He has a few and might be willing to part with one. Maybe worth getting in touch.

I know of a few rifles that have appeared at the bash over the years, that would do as a decent deposit on a house - but the budget and vintage offerings are always the stuff that impress and interest me the most.
I'm already on the countdown to May 25.
    Happyserlutely, Craigy.

    Beautiful wasn't it, Pauly?

I couldn't believe how nicely it turned out after following those forecasts all week. Proper el-scorchio!

The Longbow really is getting better the more it is shot
And yes Paul (Hellequin) the look on Paul's(Waddy) face went the bucket dropped was a picture
I drive past one of those Premier Inns in Doncaster every day, Pete. Only about three quarters of a mile from Brian's range. And not sure if there'll be another even closer?

I can confirm how positively buzzing and made up you were to have assisted Paul in connecting with The Bucket. You're such a genuine fella and top, top bloke.

I've been looking at the Donny range and I think it's a phone call job, stopping over for a meal & beers seems very appealing, there are cheap hotels because of the house racing thing
I'll have a talk with Brian, Paul, and establish best way forward for all parties.

The Longbow is lovely. Really lovely. Just like the LGV and FWB Sport IV, such a shame they're no longer available.

But any of your HWs will make Bucket Snipers par excellence. Just need them perfectly zeroed and sort the aim points.

Lovely to spend that glorious, sunny, "chill-out" Sunday with you remaining peeps. It's always so calm as there's just a handful of people remaining and the pace slows.

Right towards the end, before Chris (Baldinio) and I left, a young bunny popped out from the hedgerow and was calmly surveying and nibbling.

Chris - I hope you get your access difficulties sorted and can get posting again. It's brilliant to see you at the Bashes, but we miss your input and golden sense of humour and it must be so frustrating for you. If you want me to try and assist in any way, please get a message to me through Pauly and we'll see what we can do.....

    Haha! I like that, Pete.

Unfortunately, although I'd love to go fully with that sentiment, looking past the rose tinted specs reveals only a few true candidates. The Longbow, most probably, being top of the pile......

That would be great if you could sound things out with Brian, I had a look on the website, there are only 9 lanes (I think) so if it's far enough ahead & there's enough interest we could book the whole place out for the afternoon two sessions or something.

Already started with an Airsporter, never tried a Webley before the Bash. Something very odd happened with that Longbow, did it belong to a wizard or something ?

Yeah, that counts Paul. Both those rifles available are very nice, you wouldn’t go wrong with either one of them. The challenge will be …. Not buying both !!!

No the rifle is dead standard
But if you sprinkle the blood of a Virginia rabbit shot with a Lincoln Jefferies at midnight on a shrove Tuesday that falls on an even date on your pellets....
You will still be beaten by someone that works hard
