It was mentioned ages ago & never really went anywhere, there isn't a thread for it.

I can't imagine that there isn't a range in the land that people don't buy & swap off each other at, but as for an actual "sales table" I think we ought to be asking Brian.

I suppose you'd have to or you could easily take a week getting there on back roads & stopping to see things. You will most likely still need at least one overnight stop depending on how early you get off etc.

I did the South of France in 18 hours in one leg, but that was 25 years ago & they have cameras on the motorways now, they work out how long it took you from one toll to the next. From that they get your average speed.

I think it came up on the original thread re trying to make such a meet possible and Brian said it'd be okay.

So I think we'll be good to start a thread.

Morning gents, what's the situation with numbers at this point? I'm hoping me and my lad may make it but I need to give it a week or so to decide. I badly tweaked my back a week or two ago and not certain it'll be up for the drive. Fingers crossed though

Hi Mike, there are two places left, looks like they are yours unless you decide otherwise

Hope to see you both there

No motorways, made time to take it leisurely. Decided to have 3 overnight stops. If I have it correct the Millau adds about 100 miles to the journey. It might be doable.

The most amazing thing about the viaduct is how high up it is, there is a visitor centre underneath it & a viewing spot at the northern end .

It is quite a way west really, I used to go round the west of Paris to end up going down the A75, but seeing as you are heading to the eastern part of the south that wouldn't make much sense & there's not much scenic wise until your quite a way down the country going that way. I suppose if you go down the eastern side of France you can go thought the French side of the Alps which is amazing. It can take a long time to cover ground off the autoroute though.

No problem Mike, nice to see you back on the forum, I believe there are a few members having trouble logging on ? I've never logged off since I joined so I've not experienced any problems of that kind.

Tony thinks there might be people more local who will leave it to the last minute, so if you can't make it even quite close to the date of the meet it's not a problem.

I've got my fingers crossed that the weather will stay like it is now, fairly mild, no frost or heavy rain for everyone driving any distance.

Great to see you on, Mike.

Sorry to hear about your back; I hope you are feeling much better very soon.

I've added you and Jack onto the attendance list so those places are yours. If it turns out that you can't come along, I'm sure there might be a few on the "reserve" list by then.

    BOING!

Just over three weeks, it'll be upon us before we know it

Sales Table thread started in the sales section, other thread in general deleted, thanks for the heads up Tony & Jon.

I'm attempting to rebuild the Sirocco today, thankfully there is a thread on a Sirocco rebuild on the other channel as the trigger ass has to be removed to strip the ram. The trigger ass is currently a pellet tin full of parts

I hope the Sirocco build goes smoothly, Paul.

Yep, just think, by the time we've settled down again after the New Year, we'll only have a fortnight to go.

    Buzzing!
