I'll be hobbling round the field this time, had that bloody Plantar fasciitis for the last six weeks or so. Uncomfortable and then some
My sympathy’s to you big time, regarding the Plantar fasciitis :. I’ve had it in my left foot for the past 6 months and it’s getting worse 🥲.
I’ve just got some inserts to support the arch and also use a roller type thingy to massage the ball of my foot , not sure if either remedy is working.sorry about the rant .
    I hope yours improves.😉

    Cheers Les.

Likewise mate, hope yours gets sorted soon. Never heard of it until I got it, it seems pretty common. Bloody painful.

    Age thing maybe ?

It'll be nice to see that 50, is the Diana a .22 or .177 ? I had a look an MN products site yesterday & they only have .22, I'd have been tempted to swing by on the way to the bash if they'd had a .177 one.

Hopefully the rifles that have had recent work will be going for a trip over to the range this afternoon, and it's fingers crossed there will be a spare lane, it gets very full when the weather is nice.

I know what you mean about Pauls Diana, the only thing stopping me getting it is that I can't really justify another .22 break barrel.
Yep, I'm a bit of a reluctant dinosaur when it comes to IT techy-type things, Paul.

As far as I'm aware, NM only got .22s in this batch of AM03s. Must admit, at this money, if I could justify another, I'd be more than happy to get another, even though it'd be a duplicate.

Did you manage to get to the range?

That 34 of Paul's is SO nice and with so much providence that I want it so badly. But I can't. Well, I don't think I can. No I can't.

Sorry to hear this, Les. My wife also suffers from it. Not nice. You both have my sympathy.

    Spot on, Paul. Thank you.

I got the time yesterday evening and stripped it again. The spring is, indeed, of the more stout breed. Measured in at 3.67mm on my very-near-calipers. Explains everything. Now to the choice of spring.....

Also looked at the detent issue. There looks to be some wear at the cylinder end. I'd have to compare it to one of my others to see exactly what's what. Wondering if a little strong epoxy would be strong enough if applied and filed flat? Or a tiny slither of steel, again filed flat. Or if someone's able to apply a tiny blob of weld and, again, dressed to suit???????

Just prior to stripping again, with the new latch and spring fitted, if you pull the latch firmly towards the rear of the gun, that slight vertical play does seem to go away, so it can't be much. Hard to say how much it affects accuracy, if it does.

Oh, and I paired it with the Panamax

Very much looking forward to having a go with your re-worked one, Mark, and seeing how different it feels. Every time I've looked through a Panamax they have impressed (Nikko glass does seem to suit me) and I think it's an excellent companion for the AM03.

Shame they are only in .22, I'm only really looking at .177 now, what with only shooting at the range. I did think of hunting originally but I can't really see that happening unless the grid goes down lol.

I did get to the range & it was fairly quiet surprisingly, the 100 is a lazer, certainly at mid distances, I haven't got heavier PCP pellets yet & it suffered at 45 yards. The 80 is superb, it's not that far off the 100 at mid distances & was better at 45 yards but that's probably pellets or possibly the 100 is under power again.

The 35 "functioned" but needs far more input than the other two, or maybe pellets are clipping the mod. Certainly a problem child that one, could have ended up in a carp pond at one point

I can't believe the bash is so close it's time to start getting stuff together ! And at last I've got a sensible sized tent now

Something has cropped up at home and unfortunately I'm not going to be able to make The Bash this time.

It's nothing serious but it is something that needs sorting pretty soon.
    See you in July.
