I myself have got a rough zero on the Longbow(with a 3lb hammer) and am moving on to fine tune (with a 20oz Stanley)
Just straightening a couple of 6in nails to fit the stock
They're all ready and waiting, mate - even managed a bit of shooting time with a couple of them in between jobs.
To be fair, my TX never comes apart but for the past few years I've wanted to bring a couple of the HW77's to play with as for some reason I shoot them better than a TX.
( I still have a good few in bits though that need nailing up )
Put on heading 270, assume attack formation

It's coming, mate - along with another special 77 and my 35 'roach pole'.
I'm hoping to get a couple of others ready that may interest people too.
Be great to spend a bit of time with you again.

Can't wait to see that oh-so lovely 77 again, Craigy. It really is a most beautiful thing. And looking forward to witnessing whichever other lovelies you're bringing along.

Be great to see you again.

    Thanks, Andy.

Mmmmm......no, getting to the range once you've had the eye drops in to dilate your pupils leaves you with blurry vision for about six hours wasn't going to be on the cards. Nice thought, though.

Scans etc didn't reveal anything sinister, so they think some "abrasion to the cornea" has occurred and should settle. Vision has cleared a fair bit since Friday. However, when wearing my glasses, it's almost like the right is out of focus. Hopefully this will settle soon. But at least they couldn't find any real naughtiness going on, which was reassuring.....

So, I was going to nip to a pub for a swifty. But, once you've had those eye drops in your pupils are dilated. You have blurry vision and daylight really hurts so I had to wear the sunglasses. And you feel a bit sorta vulnerable. As I got towards the centre (around 12.30) it was really busy. The "atmosphere" felt quite "abrasive" and not nice. Pubs already seemed quite busy and rowdy. And I'm sure we've all sensed and seen this.....but the number of seemingly unemployed, gobby, rough-looking benefit-claiming (I guess) scumbags were in great evidence. The place felt bloody horrible. MPs need to get out of their cosy chambers and visit real-world town centres and witness how bad it is out there and get the scumbags working. Never going to happen.

Got to the train station. Next two trains were delayed. Good old public transport, eh? The wife had already rung to see if I wanted picking up. So she came to fetch me. This gave me ample time for a swift half in the pub at the station......a very nice, civilised affair....just myself and three old boys in there and nice and quiet.
