He's off to the beach today. Sandsend, just near Whitby with our lass and her sister. Her sister is taking her Vizsla, Snoop, so it should be fun.

I'm off to the farm, just sat in Maccy,s at the mo lol

Any updates with the '35 and '100, Paul?

The 35 is sitting in the corner in a bag so I don't have to look at it


I had a bit of a look at the 100 & decided that rather than jumping in the deep end it ought to go back. After a refill it's doing 2.3 ft/lbs

The odd thing is I don't think it's leaking as such, it's not using air, must have done at least 8 mags at the range on Sunday, after which it was reading 165, down from 200 on the gauge. The range has a close relationship with Hull Cartridge what with being just up the road & using their cartridges on the clay pigeon ranges, so I'm hoping one of their gunsmiths will deal with it.

Oh yes, indeedy, Good People of The Boing.

'Tis the first of a month yet again and so Rabbits, Rabbits, Rabbits and all the very best of health and fortunes to you good folk.

And, not only is it the first of a month, but today sees us at the start of Meteorological Spring, so it's a landmark one. The days have been getting longer and longer. I can hear those tweetie birds making a right din outside. I love the Spring dawn chorus. A natural marvel. The weather has been fairly kind of late and it looks like the temperatures are set to rise a little over the coming week too, so it really feels like we're getting there now. Let's hope that's it and we don't see any downturn now......

And, of course, all of this promising weather and lengthening days means we're getting closer and closer to our first Bash of the year.

Sleepometer now says 77 to go........11 weeks.......two paydays.

Tomorrow afternoon all being well. Not sure what else to take to shoot. Took the 80 & the Tempest last week, the Tempest was surprisingly accurate.


Off out for a walk on the Wolds after breakfast.

I'll be ready In fact for a chunk of this thread I couldn't see the boing gifs which lead me to believe the links must have finally expired. Went about trying to find some new ones, set the links up and post, but then the originals came back In theory we might have two sets ready to go now...

Just a thought, you're not missing the breech seal are you? I once had a flat headed pellet bulldoze one out as the probe pushed it into the breech. The place you bought it from should still resolve for you, but it might not be anything too severe.

Edit; I had a look & the breech seal is still there.

I have a feeling it's sat in a cupboard for a long time, that the seals have perished with age & I'm the first one to properly use it in ages.

If when I take it back they only offer me my money back I'll bring it home & strip it. It's too nice & was far too good a price to loose it. I've watched that many strip down vids on the HW100 that I don't think it's too much to take on & seal kits are cheap.

Now I'm wondering if I should just get a seal kit & not risk it getting it dinged.
